Picking a new toilet seems simple. However, there are a number of factors to consider during this search. This way, you will always enjoy a pleasant visit to the toilet after the purchase. We tell you what to look out for when buying a new toilet so that you make the most successful choice possible.

Standing or hanging

A suspended toilet has a clean, modern look and is also easy to maintain. For example, you clean the floor under the toilet bowl in no time. Another big advantage is the height you can determine yourself during installation. The suspended toilet is attached to a cistern that is integrated behind the wall, as are the connections and the sewer drain.

A floor-standing toilet is ideal when you don't have space for a toilet with a built-in cistern. This model stands on the ground and usually has a drain in the floor, and if you already have a drain in the ground, it is easier to install a new floor-standing toilet.

Standard or short projection toilets

Exactly how much space do you need to fit a toilet? The standard length of a toilet measures 55 cm. Therefore, leave about 52 cm at the front and 20 cm on either side. Short projection toilets are also available with a length of about 50 cm. Ideal if you have a small bathroom or a compact cloakroom. Incidentally, this does not compromise seating comfort.

Flat or deep flush

Deep flush means that the message falls directly into the water. As a result, you experience fewer unpleasant odours. All our wall-hung toilets are deep-flush variants. The floor-standing toilets in our range are washdown toilets. With a washdown toilet, a plateau catches the message first. After flushing, it disappears into the water. A great advantage of this is that you can view your stool for medical purposes. In addition, you are not bothered by splashing water.

Ease of maintenance and use

Do you want to experience ultimate ease of maintenance and use with your new toilet? Then there are a number of options you can choose from. A flushless toilet has no rim where dirt can accumulate. There are also toilets with Quick Release technology. This allows you to loosen the toilet seat with a simple click, making it easy to clean. Or how about a toilet seat with a soft-close system? A toilet seat that falls loudly is thus a thing of the past.

Style of toilet

Toilets are available in different designs with matching toilet lids. So you can match them to the interior of your bathroom or cloakroom. Choose from modern, angular shapes or go for a traditional round design. The colour of the toilet also contributes to the look. Will you go for a black, white or grey one? Black and grey toilets are real eye-catchers in the room. A white model, on the other hand, has a fresh look.

The right flush plate

The choice of a flush plate largely depends on your concealed cistern. Here you need to consider the brand and the series. This is because it is not possible to combine the concealed cistern with a control panel from another brand. Our range only includes flush plates and concealed cisterns of the Geberit Sigma Series. So you will be equipped with the right parts straight away.

The panels are available in different designs, colours and materials. Thanks to the wide range of possibilities, you can match the panel to the design of your bathroom or toilet. Whether you choose a striking design or a subtle colour that allows the flush plate to blend in with your interior, the decision is yours.
