Many people nowadays opt for a low shower tray. Until a few years ago, a high shower tray, usually combined with ashower cabin, was the most frequently chosen option in abathroom. But now that a walk-in shower is the trend, the preference for a high shower tray has diminished and a low shower tray is much more often desired. The lower the better actually, as this is the closest thing to the ideal of a walk-in shower. A walk-in shower involves positioning the shower directly on the tiled floor. A glass wall then separates the shower area from the rest of the bathroom. A shower door is usually not present.
Walk-in shower or low shower tray
But not everyone will appreciate a walk-in shower. That is; standing on the smooth tiled floor is not something everyone likes, but the open character of such a type of shower often appeals. With a low shower tray, you actually combine those two things. The low shower tray actually delimits the shower area. The surface is non-slip so you stand firm and stable and there is little chance of slipping. Yet you do have the advantage of low entry and the spatial effect.
