Nothing is more annoying than cold water when you are expecting hot water. And especially when you are in the shower! If hot water is not coming out of the tap, there could be several things going on. Perhaps it is time to descale the tap. This is because lime affects a tap's mechanism. You notice this because theshower tapopens and closes more heavily. And if a thermostatic tap has calcified too much, the temperature is difficult or even impossible to control. The water remains (too) cold or hot, no matter how hard you turn the shower tap.
No hot water from the tap: what to do now?
There is nothing more annoying than cold water when you are expecting hot water. You can read here what could be going on when hot water does not come out of the tap.

No hot water? Descale!
Descale a tapas follows: start by taking the tap's installation manual with you. It is important to descale the cartridge. The cartridge is located inside the shower valve body. Pull it out and immerse it up to the stainless steel ring in a glass of vinegar or special quick descaler for ten minutes. The limescale will then release on its own. After descaling, rinse the cartridge with water. Now remove the rubber rings and strainers. Grease the rings with silicone grease and clean the strainers. Then reassemble the tap in reverse order. Hot water should now be coming out of the tap again!
Is it the shower valve that does not produce hot water? Then descale the tap as described above, but don't forget the shower head. Put it in a bucket with water and vinegar. The holes in the shower head will reopen and a pleasant, regular shower spray will be the result. If descaling the tap hasn't helped, there may be a problem with the central heating boiler. Contact a plumber or the housing association.
