1. Where will the shower space be?

Think carefully about the location of the shower. Will it be in the same place as the current shower, or will the bathroom undergo a complete renovation? There is always a suitable solution, regardless of the dimensions of your bathroom. You can choose from a set-up to fit between two walls, such as a shower door, but there are also other options, such as corner models and semi-detached set-ups.

2. Open or enclosed shower?

There are two different types of shower, open and enclosed. An open variant is spacious and has no door, like a walk-in shower. The enclosed shower is completely closed by a door, which means you don't get splashed and the heat stays inside. Think of a shower cubicle or recess door. Do you need even more seclusion and comfort? Then there are also complete shower cabins or steam rooms for ultimate luxury.

3. Which model?

You can choose from various models. Walk-in showers come in the following finishes: with one wall, two walls or a free-standing wall. For an enclosed shower, choose from a shower enclosure or shower cubicle. Enclosures come in offset, rectangular, square, quarter-round or pentagonal models. If you like to save space, it is advisable to choose a quarter-round or pentagonal model. A shower cubicle is placed between two walls and can be found in a wide range of sizes.

4. What is the ideal size?

Showers come in all sizes, but it is advisable to choose a minimum size of 60x60 cm. For sufficient space to move around, we recommend a size of 80x80 cm or 90x90 cm. If you have opted for a walk-in shower, go for a wall at least 1.20 m wide. This will stop enough splashing water. For a smaller wall, we recommend joining a swivel or fixed side wall. Take into account a minimum passage of 50 to 60 cm.

5. What type of glass?

The type of glass determines the look of your shower. Clear glass creates an open atmosphere, because the room seems to flow through. For extra privacy, there is frosted glass, or simply because you like it. Prefer an industrial look? Then there are shower screens with black stripes. Or how about a luxurious touch with one made of smoked glass?

6. What colour of attachment?

To give your shower the right ambience, you decide on the colour of the attachment. With colours such as chrome, brushed stainless steel, gold, matte black, copper, black chrome or black metal, you will always find a suitable colour. For example, combine matte black fittings with other black elements in the bathroom to create unity. Prefer a timeless look? Chrome lends itself perfectly to that.

7. On the floor or a shower tray?

A shower screen or enclosure can be mounted directly on the floor or on a shower tray. The great advantage of a shower tray is that it is more rigid than tiles, giving you more stability. Placing the shower on the tiles increases the spatial effect in the bathroom, making it appear visually larger. The water is then drained via a shower drain. Keep in mind that the capacity of the shower drain should be high enough to drain the water.

8. Which shower valve?
