Product description

Foby+ Flexcement is a powder tile adhesive and is a ready-to-use thin-bed mortar after the addition of water. The adhesive is suitable for indoor bonding of floor tiles on dimensionally stable substrates and can be used in dry and wet areas. Consumption averages 2 to 5 kg per m².

Non-absorbent and absorbent substrates Highly absorbent substrates must always be primed with primer for absorbent substrates. Smooth and non-absorbent substrates, such as existing tiles, must be degreased and primed with primer tile-over-tile. On non-absorbent substrates, the tile must have an absorbent shingle.

Application area powder adhesive The powder adhesive is excellent for bonding ceramic floor tiles. In addition, the adhesive lends itself to various types of natural stone on stone and gypsum-like substrates, with the exception of anhydrite floors. Furthermore, its use is recommended on dimensionally stable or light substrates. The adhesive also goes well with underfloor heating systems.

Adhesive application Apply the powdered adhesive with a suitable notched trowel. Choose a suitable toothing that ensures a contact surface of at least 80% between the back of the tile and the adhesive. For heavy-duty tiling, thin tiles or tiles larger than 40x40 cm, a contact surface of 100% is required and you should use the buttering or floating method. For an optimal end result, use our tile clips and chocks.
