When installing a hanging toilet bowl, it is important to hang it at the right height. One or two centimetres difference in height may not seem like much, but it can be a big difference. The perfect toilet height depends on a number of factors. You can read more about them in this blog.
The standard height of a toilet
For many years, the standard height of a toilet was 40 cm. This is the height measured from the tiled floor to the edge of the toilet bowl, without a toilet seat. However, the standard toilet height has slowly increased as the average person grows taller and taller. Instead of 40 cm, the pot is now hung at 43 cm as standard.
For older people, it is difficult to stand up from a low position, so it is wise to hang toilets used mainly by senior citizens higher - a height between 46 and 50 cm is ideal.
